the request
Design a Social Media Tip of the Month email for GE Appliance dealers utilizing the GE brand visual guidelines, similar program executions from other clients, and the first month's content as a guide. The final approved layout will be converted into template blocks to be used for future emails.
the problem
This project was originally given to an internal support team to execute, but the design fell short. The layout felt dated and lacked visual interest. The featured social media channel is not highlighted and gets completely lost. Content hierarchy, styling, and spacing needed refinement. The modern feel of the GE brand wasn’t represented well. And although the content was informative, there wasn’t a call to action to engage users.
the goal
Improve the design to align with the GE brand, establish a better hierarchy, and make the CTA clear.
design reference & inspiration
I referenced the GE brand guidelines and current GE web design styling to inform the new design layout and look.
the solution
Iconography, varied type styling, callouts, dividers, and an expanded color palette infused GE branding into the new design. CTA buttons link out to relevant articles that make the content more robust, and the final CTA directs users to engage with BrandMuscle's social media experts.
